On the other hand, if that child taught to know that drugs are bad for you, listening to those lyrics telling you that they are good, will not have an affect on them because it's already been imbedded in their minds that their bad. If a child is taught to respect their body and dress appropriately then it doesn't matter what a star is wearing, that child is going to dress according to the way he or she were taught. I strongly feel as though rap, hip-hop and rock have little influence of teens, because parents are the biggest influence in their lives and their going to go by what they've been taught. Being a teenager myself, I find that when I listen to music, I'm not interested in so much of trying to be like the superstars singing the song or trying to act out the lyrics that I hear.
