Izzy is remembering how she ended up in the hospital. She remembers, first of all, that Marco, a senior, asked her out to the football team's post game party. It is wrong that African Americans are put through this stereotyping, when many of the times a white man would be just as likely as a black man to commit a crime. Just because a convenient store was robbed by a masked man, doesn't mean people should assume it was a black man, which might not happen all the time, but it happens enough.

Overall, stereotypes towards African Americans happen too much, and are ridiculous to make. The public needs to accept the differences in people being race, religion, gender, or anything else. There are many other races in America then just white and African Americans, but I feel that the African Americans are stereotypes more then the Asians, or the Europeans. Nobody necessarily knows why they stereotype someone when they see them, it just domes naturally know which is a sad thing.
